EarthCraft Virginia Welcomes New Members of Board of Directors

Jay Hugo, 3north and Diane Lewis, Long & Foster to Serve on Non-Profit’s Board

 

Richmond, VA – November 8, 2012 – EarthCraft Virginia is pleased to announce the addition of two new members to its Board of Directors, Jay Hugo of 3north and Diane Lewis of Long & Foster Real Estate, Inc.

 

Jay Hugo serves as principal at 3north, a firm which provides a broad spectrum of design services within the disciplines of architecture, landscape architecture, interior design, and graphic design.  As a 3north founder, Mr. Hugo provides overall leadership and management, driving the firm towards sustainability and innovation.  “EarthCraft Virginia has developed innovative programs to raise the bar for individual projects and larger communities,” said Hugo. “I’m excited to be involved, and I’m looking forward to broadening both their exposure and their impact.”

 

Diane Lewis is a real estate broker with Long & Foster Real Estate, the largest independent residential real estate company in the United States, and lives in the first Zero Energy Home built in Richmond, VA.  “I have learned first-hand that sustainable building practices can be cost effective solutions that benefit builders, homeowners and the larger community,” said Lewis.

 

“We look forward to the individual contributions the new Board members will provide through their unique insight into the housing and sustainable building markets,” said K.C. McGurren, EarthCraft Virginia Executive Director.

 

The Board of Directors is made up of 12 individuals, allowing for representation from a wide variety of individuals across the housing industry. Board members serve three-year terms.
