Norfolk’s housing authority is adding townhomes to an older neighborhood between Ghent and Old Dominion University.
Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority selected Howerin Construction of Norfolk to build 14 EarthCraft townhomes along the south side of 26th Street at Hampton Boulevard.
EarthCraft is a certification process for single-family and multifamily projects, according to its Web site. It serves as a home-construction blueprint that reduces utility bills and protects the environment, the site said.
